She recently had her directorial debut along alongside Nicole C. Mullen in the film THE GOD WHO SEES. The duo co-wrote all of the music to the film. Gifford has donated to numerous charities helping children such as Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children and Cassidy's Place. The two houses that were named for her children were Cassidy's Place & Cody House. An ardent humanitarian, she was awarded an honorary degree in the form of an honorary degree from Marymount University for her humanitarian activities in labor relations.
